The inaugural Grow Local OC: The Future of Urban Food Systems Conference will take place on November 10-11, 2016 at California State University, Fullerton. The conference will serve to galvanize the citizens, growers, advocates, government officials and other major stakeholders in Orange County around the positive economic and community development outcomes that can result from the creation of healthy and vibrant local food systems in the county and on its fringes.
PRESENTED BY: Seedstock, a social venture that fosters the development of robust local food and agriculture systems and also the creator of the GrowRIVERSIDE initiative in Riverside, CA in partnership with Orange County Food Access Coalition, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, that develops innovative, community-based strategies to end hunger and deliver nutrition to the underserved in the OC community.
SPONSORSHIP SELECTION: We are currently in the process of selecting sponsors for the conference that have both a presence in Orange County and have similar goals to our organization with respect to the advancement of sustainable local food systems that benefit community and economy.
We expect around 600 conference attendees from Orange County and across the southern California region, who will include growers, investors, civic leaders, policy makers, entrepreneurs and business executives.
